On Saturday the 25th of March East Kilbride Central Library will be hosting EastKilBrillaint, a FREE showcase event highlighting all that is on offer in sports, libraries, leisure and cultural facilities in the area. From local sports hub clubs to parks and outdoor activities, with something for all age groups. The new library 3D printer will be on show as well as the 3D scanner which we can make use to make people into plastic models! There will be health checks and fitness and diet advice as well as information and demonstrations from local clubs such as karate.
Between 11am-3pm you’ll also be able to try out some of the super fun library children’s activities with Bookbug, Shake Rattle and Read, Lego and Minecraft sessions running throughout the day. And a little bird told me that there may even be a real life Bookbug visiting in person for the day, and if we’re lucky even a Gruffalo!
You can find out about the upcoming schedule of events at Calderglen County Park and Low Parks Museum, helping you to plan and take advantage of some super events during the holidays. Have you always fancied trying table tennis but never given it a shot? Well come along, try it out and get some tips from the local pro’s. There will be everything from health and fitness advice to local and family history information. Truly something for everybody who wants to try something different, something #EastKilBrilliant!
